What cookies are
A cookie is a small file a website asks the browser to remember. It lets a site stay signed in, remember what is in a basket, and avoid re-loading things that have not changed. This page lists the ones this store actually uses.
Essential cookies
These are set automatically and are needed for the store to work. They cannot be switched off without breaking parts of it, and they do not require consent.
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| wordpress_test_cookie | Checks that your browser accepts cookies. Discarded immediately. |
| wordpress_logged_in_* | Keeps you signed in across pages. Discarded when you sign out or the browser closes. |
| wordpress_sec_* | Session and nonce cookies used by WordPress for security. Short-lived. |
| wp-settings-* | Remembers interface preferences such as the admin editor layout. Long-lived. |
| woocommerce_cart_hash | Identifies your basket so it can be restored. Lifetime of the cart. |
| woocommerce_items_in_cart | Records what is in the basket. Lifetime of the cart. |
| woocommerce_recently_viewed | Stores recently viewed products so they can be shown again. Short-lived. |
| wp_woocommerce_session_* | Keeps your basket and login state together across pages. Discarded when the browser closes or after a set idle period. |
Analytics cookies
None are in use.
No analytics script is installed on this site, and no page-view or visitor data is sent to an analytics provider. Server access logs record requests for keeping the site running; those are not cookies and are covered by the privacy policy.
Marketing cookies
None are in use.
There is no advertising network, no retargeting pixel, and no third-party marketing tracker on this site. Membership of a marketing or affiliate programme would change this; if one is ever added, the cookie is listed here first and, where consent is required, asked for before it is set.
Managing cookies
Every browser lets you view, block and delete cookies, and most let you block them for a single site. Blocking the essential ones will stop you signing in and will break the basket, so if you do block them, expect the store to stop working. Clearing cookies signs you out but does not affect anything you have bought — your purchases are on the account, not in the browser.
If you later add an analytics or marketing service, a consent mechanism will be added with it. Until then there is nothing to opt out of, because nothing is being tracked.
