Current status

This page is here because the answer needs to exist before someone asks. If a programme is ever introduced, this page will say so first, describe what it covers, and identify every link that earns a commission.

What an affiliate link would be

An affiliate link carries a tracking code. When someone follows it and buys something, the site that sent the link receives a commission. The buyer pays the same price either way; the commission comes out of the seller's margin.

If a programme is introduced

  • Every page carrying an affiliate link will say so, at the point the link appears.
  • This page will be updated with who runs the programme and which destinations it covers.
  • Prices shown for the referred product will be the referring site's own, so a commission cannot distort a price.
  • Cookie behaviour for any affiliate tracking will be listed on the cookie policy page.

Some pages link to an external site — a documentation page, a developer's site, or another resource. Those links are not affiliate links and nothing is earned when they are followed.
